The founder of LittleRoos is Laurel McMillan, MA, OTR/L, an occupational therapist specializing in infant and pediatric therapy services. She is a graduate of the University of San Diego and earned her masters degree at the University of Southern California. She has many years of specialized experience treating infants in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a major Phoenix hospital. With a deep understanding of the challenging journey many NICU families have successfully completed, Laurel can provide expert continuing support after the transition to home. Laurel also has extensive experience in outpatient pediatric care, and subacute pediatric rehabilitation – working with a wide range of children from 0-18 years old requiring various levels of developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and medical fragility support. Laurel also holds specialty certifications in neonatal therapy and massage, and has been a program leader for GiGi’s Playhouse in Phoenix for several years.
“Laurel has been amazing! She has been working with our baby girl since she was born and oh my goodness has she made a difference in our lives and with our little girl’s development. There are no words to describe her patience and the palpable passion she has for what she does. Her hard work, dedication and passion for our kiddos, and the zest she has for her work shines through and through! I can’t say enough good things about her. 10 out of 10 – I highly recommend her!”
“Laurel is very attentive and intuitive, she has been amazing working with two of my children, one of them had special needs. She is great with children and very helpful with parents to answer any questions and address any needs a child has.”
“Laurel has been such a blessing to our family! I had the privilege to work alongside her in the NICU for several years. She helped us develop a toolkit for managing our oldest daughter’s Sensory Processing Disorder and now with our youngest’s delay in walking. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable in her field but so kind and caring as well. If your family has any pediatric OT needs, you will be in wonderful hands!”
